Who we are

Our Vision

Levend Water helps people to live in the victory of Jesus Christ.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the most important person that ever lived and that He is alive today and capable to restore the fullness of life in us. Jesus is the Son of God and has been sent by God to restore this world in which we live, in its original purpose as God intended for it when He created it. A place for mankind to discover who they are, who God is and the beauty and wonder of creation. Jesus gained the victory over evil by conquering death, which is ultimate evil. We have experienced the results of Jesus' victory in our own lives and desire to help every person around us to meet Jesus and experience His victory.

We help people to meet God, to grow and to live in their destiny, so they can be influencers in the place where God has placed them, through which His Kingdom breaks through in this world.

Learning to live in the victory of Jesus Christ is a process with which we want to help you. You are welcome in our fellowship where we are living and learning together as we meet God and discover our destiny together.

We believe God has placed great things in each individual human being to be an expression of Himself in you and me. We want to see the beauty of God in you flourish so that you can be successful in all aspects of life and be someone who is know to be an influencer in the place where God has placed you. We desire that the great blessings of God and His heavenly kingdom are not only expressed in our personal lives, but also that they will become visible in this world as we help it to change for the good.

Our Mission

Levend Water believes that God has a 2-fold plan for humanity and this world, which is expressed in Genesis 1:28:

"And God blessed them. And God said to them, 'Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.' ".

This expresses God's desire:

1. to have a big family of people who live under His guidance and rule (be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth).

2. to see humanity develop as His governing agency on the earth (subdue it and have dominion).

Levend Water recognizes these 2 aspects to be given not only to humanity as a whole, but in particularly through Jesus Christ to His Church after He died and rose from the dead to bring God's Kingdom back to this earth. In the Church we recognize these 2 aspects as: Family and Kingdom.

Family

Levend Water is called to be a family of believers, who fellowship together and with those who are not part of the Levend Water family, so that we help and encourage each other in our Kingdom mission.

We do this through:

  • Sunday meetings.
  • Connect groups in our homes.
  • Teaching and training meetings.

Kingdom

Levend Water is called to be an army of peace, which comes together to advance the Kingdom of heaven and its principles in all aspects of our lives by expressing and sharing the teaching of Jesus with the people around us, wherever God has placed us.

We do this through:

  • Living our personal and family life according to the principles of Jesus and His Kingdom as given to us through the Bible.
  • Reaching out to our neighbours, co-workers, family and friends.
  • Sharing Kingdom principles at work, at school, in our neighbourhood, in our city, province and country and in any other place where God has called us.

What We Believe

Our statement of faith is not unique, but also not universal. The statement below is based on a number of theological foundations that many evangelical and charismatic churches around the world believe as truth. This statement is the foundation on which members of Levend Water base their faith.

  1. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God.
  2. We believe in the eternal God, who revealed Himself as one God in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who can be discerned but can not be separated.
  3. We believe in creation, testing and the fall of mankind as written down in the first book of the Bible, Genesis; its complete spiritual depravity, not being able to acquire God's righteousness through or in itself.
  4. We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Saviour of human beings; received by the Holy Spirit, born from the virgin Mary; Who is both God and man.
  5. We believe that Christ died for our sin, was buried, rose again on the third day and that He personally appeared to His disciples.
  6. We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus into heaven, His exaltation, and that He will return to this earth a second time personally, literally and physically to judge the living and the dead.
  7. We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of Jesus Christ on the cross of Golgotha through which we receive forgiveness of sin.
  8. We believe in baptism in water of believers through immersion in the name of the Eternal Godhead in fulfillment of the commandment that Jesus gave us.
  9. We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit as an experience during or following salvation.
  10. We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, functioning today as described in the New Testament and as it manifested in the first Church.
  11. We believe in praise and worship as taught in the scriptures.
  12. We believe in a Spirit filled life, a life that turns from worldliness and looks for completion and holiness in the fear of the Lord, as expression of the Christian faith and Christ's rule in our life.
  13. We believe that it is the responsibility of the local church to fulfill the great commission in preaching the gospel to every nation and that the gospel will be preached to every people before Jesus returns.
  14. We believe in physical healing by God's power and in divine healing in different ways as was experience in the first Church.
  15. We believe in the table of the Lord, also call the Lord's supper, for those who believe in Jesus.
  16. We believe in eternal life for those who believe and eternal damnation for those who reject Jesus Christ.
  17. We believe in the reality and person of satan and eternal judgement on satan and his angels.
  18. We believe there is one true universal church, built up from all people that believe in Christ Jesus. This universal church is expressed through many local church fellowships. These local churches are under the sovereign rule of the Lord Jesus Christ, autonomous in their decisions, leading under Christ in cooperation with the 5-fold ministries with which God has connected them.
